01 APR 09 - Primed and Riveted Rear Spars - 4.0 Hours
I primed all of the rear spar and tie-down
components.
Then I riveted all of the rear spar components together. There are many holes that
do not get rivets at this time, so make sure to mark appropriately. Instead of using
tape to cover the holes, I simply clecoed the holes I was not to rivet.

This the right rear spar root.

Here is the right rear spar W-707-E reinforcement plate.

Here is the right rear spar W-707-F reinforcement plate (outboard edge of the spar).
The farthest row of holes to the right have been dimpled as opposed to countersinking
as stated in the previous post.

The rear spars riveted. I placed the shop heads on the aft side of the spars because
the reinforcements forks and plates are thicker than the spar (the W-707-E and W-707-F
plates are the same thickness).
Finally, I riveted the spacer/tie-down/nutplate assemblies together.
