14 MAR 09 - Spar Countersinking and Nutplate Installation - 7.0 Hours
We began by using the #40 reamer bit to
final
drill the wing tank and inspection cover nutplate rivet holes.
Next, using a #40 countersink bit, Brandon countersunk the
spar for the flush nutplate
rivets. We did not countersink for the #8 screws yet, as we will use the installed
nutplates as guides for the countersink.

Notice that we countersunk for the wing tank nutplates and the inspection cover
nutplates.
After deburring the backside of the holes, Brandon riveted all of the wing tank
nutplates to the spar.
