26 APR 08 - Left Elevator Assembly - 4.0 Hours
Dan Edwards stopped by today after church
and assisted with the left elevator assembly. He did an excellent job with the skeleton
assembly, especially considering he had never riveted before. All of the rivets
were excellent and we didn't have to remove any of them.
I stopped assembly for a while after again being baffled by the elevator horn assembly
problems that I had previously with the right elevator, but I finally got everything
lined up.
I continued on with the riveting in accordance with the instructions, but I got
in such a groove that I forgot to take any pictures. The steps are substantially
the same as the right elevator save the trim tab spar.

I did manage to take this picture of the riveted elevators. Still need to finish
trim tab work, roll leading edges, and install rod end bearings.
