13 JAN 08 - Formed and Drilled Elevator Stiffeners - 5.0 Hours
I cut, shaped, and edge finished all of the elevator
stiffeners. Whereas with the rudder stiffeners, I created each one start to finish,
this time I did each step seperately to all of the stiffeners. It took me about
15 minutes per stiffener on the rudder, and the elevator stiffeners averaged ~10
minutes. How's that for scientific management?
After the stiffeners were complete, I edge finished both of the skins and clecoed
the stiffeners on. Remember, a few of the stiffeners on the left elevator must be
trimmed to fit properly. The plans have the details on how much to cut.
