14 SEP 07 - EAA Workbench Construction
I realized as I got going on the empennage that I was going to be out of workbench
room in a hurry. I didn't want to bolt my 5" bench vice to my current workbench,
so I decided it was high time to break out the mitre saw and get to work.
I found the plans for these EAA Standard Workbenches on the
EAA Chapter 1000 site. The materials list gives you enough to build 2. They
measure 5'x2' when they're done. They are very sturdy and are a good dimension to
me.

Nothing makes the heart go pitter patter like lumber.
I am not counting the time I spent constructing these beauties, but to give you
a hack it took me about 5 hours to cut all the lumber and build the first bench.

The first bench, complete with the exception of the pinewood trim that goes on the
edges of the benchtop.
